Jacquelynn Espey’s passion for marketing began during her undergraduate studies at the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelors of Applied Technology in Music Business. Throughout her undergrad years, she worked to market local bands and shows for both nonprofit and profit. She developed a keen eye for branding, social media marketing, and graphic design. She studied for a semester abroad at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, UK.
Abroad she worked on transatlantic marketing campaigns for a band, while also landing an internship with Gigwise (a music media website) and Notting Hill Academy of Music both based in London, UK. She decided to then pursue her masters at the Henley Business School at the University of Reading in Reading, UK for International Marketing. Jacquelynn Espey then went back to work with Notting Hill Academy of Music as the Marketing Manager. Her performance was notable as her marketing efforts assisted in filling classes to their capacity. An opportunity arose for her to stand in as a Marketing Assistant with Relentless Records under Sony Music Group London and she jumped at it.
After returning to the US, Jacquelynn took on a new challenge as a Marketing Manager with Inland Empire United Way in an effort to give back to the community she grew up in. Inland Empire United Way merged with another local branch to for Inland SoCal United Way. Jacquelynn was promoted to the Director of Marketing and was the only individual doing website management, graphic design, marketing, and content creation for the organization. She also began working freelance for another local nonprofit focusing on graphic design.
In the summer of 2021, she moved to her now home of Salem, Oregon. In Oregon, she began Espey Marketing with a single client while working full time as the Marketing Specialist at Accountable Siding LLC, which she later rebranded to Accountable Exteriors. At the start of 2024, Jacquelynn decided to focus her energy on fulfilling needs of local businesses through Espey Marketing Group.
